Happy Parents Happy Kids Telesummit!

September 7, 2013

I’m delighted to be participating in the upcoming “Happy Parents Happy Kids” telesummit, hosted by my friend and colleague Tammy Whitten over at Women Managing Stress.  IT STARTS TOMORROW- SEPTEMBER 8!!

Tammy has teamed together with six other professionals to pull together this diverse and exciting FREE telesummit!

From the Happy Parents Happy Kids website:

Do you want to have happy kids who listen, love, AND respect you?

And would you like to have a great relationship with them- without being too strict, feeling guilty, or constantly worrying about letting them down?

What if I told you that you could do it without adding more stress or work in your life? Would that be a double-bonus?

YES? Then this special program is for you.

Topics will include:

1.  The Power of Positive Parenting

2. Now we are Three: Managing the Transition from Partner to Parent

3. Identifying and Overcoming your Parent Stress Triggers

4. The Past Doesn’t Equal the Future (Especially in Parenting)

5. 4 Secrets about Change and Transition Parents Can’t Afford to Live Without

6. Growing up Online; A Parent’s Guide to being Smarter than a Smartphone

7. How to Help Kids be Resilient After Hard Times (THAT’S ME!!!!!!!)

Robyn has noticed that parents always have their radar up after their child goes through something like 9-11, moving due to a hurricane, or a death or divorce in the family.  But what about the smaller hard moments that may impact our children more than we expected?  Things like dog bites, stitches, tonsillectomies, bullies, fender-benders, falling off the monkey bars, or losing their favorite baby-sitter?  There are lots of things parents can do before, during, and after life’s hard moments in order to help our kids thrive.

Join Tammy and Robyn’s interview to discover:

What characteristics of a parent/child relationship help a child get through hard moments unscarred.

What parents and caregivers should do in the immediate aftermath of a hard moment.

What parents should look for to know if their child needs some extra help to THRIVE instead of just survive.

And the best part?  Listening LIVE to each telesummit interview is absolutely F-R-E-E!!!  Listen to as many or as few as you’d like- you’ll still get the same value since they are F-R-E-E!!!!
